THE PLAYS THAT ARE DISPLAYED IN INDIA HAS A FIXED THEME, COURSE, STORY, DIALOGUES ETC.

that is author’s choice

IT IS THE MIND OF PLAYWRIGHT. THE AUDIENCE IS PASSIVE.

IMAGINE AUDIENCE WAS TO DIRECT PLAY AT LEAST PARTLY.

The choice to go forward; left to the audience

during the play choices are posed to the audience on how to proceed.

So the play will take the audience choice into consideration

OUR JOURNEY

ISMILDA RESEARCH CONSULTANCY

Our journey- how it all began

Our was an ordinary family story motivated by our mother
Seeds in-house family magazine

Early flight:
Around 1964 extended members of our family launched a few pages issue titled
Holiday mood. Produced in holidays. For special occasions like family weddings.
It was just a manuscript WRITTEN IN PENCIL and carbon copies of that manuscript in paragraphs and columns (newspaper style)

As school magazine (short lived)
After registering with the registrar of newspapers New Delhi, we published SCHOOL LINK.

A magazine FOR SCHOOLS IN GOA.

 We had made a resolution not to include advertisements.
 Articles would be collected from students of various schools
 Some fine articles were collected from our student contacts.
 Some topics were suggested. Some of the students who contributed have shown brilliance in their careers later in life .
 Creative material, in the form of, original jokes, cartoons and cross-word puzzles appeared in the magazines.

SHORT-COMINGS

Printing was manual old fashioned , led to errors.
 We survived hardly a year due to printing cost and distribution difficulties. Though first print was 2000 copies ( ambitious plan ), subsequently it dropped to few hundreds
 It did not spark the imagination of the student community in Goa.
 In course of time we sifted to computer prints of cyclostyled copies.
 Though project failed, it was for us an experience. .

DAFFODILS

Daffodils and Goa?

Have you read the poem daffodils?

Do school children read it today?

Have you learnt it by heart?

Have you heard of the technique called by heart or by rote or memorising?

Does the   poem have any relevance to Goan society today?

Have you ever been asked to study by memorising or learning by heart? What were the areas?

How many daffodils the poet saw?

Can you describe a floating cloud?

Have you analysed the poem?

If you were to replace daffodils which flower or scene would, you choose in Goa.

Could Goan society experience such nature scenes in near future? Argue.

Has Goan society ever experienced close encounters with nature ? Would they do so in near future?.

Can your foresee in Goa a struggle between nature and urbanisation?

Do daffodils have any message to Goa today?

Do you have nature poets in Goa?

What type of nature scenes have Goan poets captured in their poetry?

SCHOOLING IN GOA IN 1960s

The method of teaching was lecture method. The teacher used to write the topic and elaborately explain the same. Clarity and simplicity was more important. A good teacher was expected to be as clear as possible. Subsequently the students wrote notes in the form of questions and answers. Some teachers were known to have made notes almost half a century back or made by his predecessors. The notes were valued as per antiquity. The teacher would dictate to the students the notes in precise words. He was not supposed to leave areas in the dark to be filled by the students through the process of the reasoning or imagination.

WHERE IS MY CHEESE ?

WHERE IS MY CHEESE?

WHERE IS MY LAND?

Is it my fault? Was it my choice?

Am I a perpetrator? or a victim of history.? or seller, broker of my own land?

Or just a a person who happened to be there?

It happened in a tiny place in Estado da India.

Misleading to translate it as State of India.

But so it was historically known.

Once it meant territories after crossing cape of GOOD GOPE

Some even included the sea, besides the land.

A WILD PRESUMPTION

I was a resident in the territory called Gaonv? .

My ancestors registered our family in village records.

as GANVKAR  and then  due to climate and other factors went to sleep.

AND  WENT TO SLEEP  .

Mean while some others tried the level best  to penetrate the  system.

From here as well as far as Europe.

A few succeeded .

It was recorded in DOCUMENT  CALED FORAL

WE CALLED IT MAGNA CARTA.

SURE THAT IT HAD ACHIEVED IMORTALITY.

WAS IT SO? OR FAILED JURISPRUDENCE  on which ancestors relied??

TODAY MY IDEENTITY IS QUESTIONED.

Did I really have one?

Was that a dream ?

A Autonomous village system _ ( an ancestral dream?)

These are not verses? nor poetry Nor prose.

Just words for you to imagine., reflect interpret or mis…?
